Sustainable development

La Capitale at the centre of Quebec City's architectural heritage

Our head office is located in the heart of Parliament Hill, the workplace of our primary clients. Its clean lines, perfect integration into the historic setting and the quality of its interior design have made it a new showpiece on the hill since 2012.

To date, 1,710 employees who were scattered among several buildings in Quebec City now work under the same roof in the new head office, resulting in considerable efficiencies for our group.

Features of the building

  • LEED®-NC Gold certification
  • Abundant natural light and a variety of different outside views
  • Use of FSC-certified wood
  • Temporary holding basins and sediment traps to filter muddy construction water
  • Reduction of heat islands thanks to the significant use of green roofs
  • Superior indoor air quality
  • Reduction of indoor air contaminants
  • Reduction of ozone layer depletion through refrigerant selection and management
  • Installation of interior bicycle racks and construction of showers and changing rooms to promote alternate modes of transportation
  • Proximity to public transit
  • Implementation of an environmentally friendly cleaning program
