La Capitale presents The Library at Night at the Musée de la civilisation

Quebec City, October 12, 2016 — La Capitale Insurance and Financial Group is proud to present The Library at Night exhibition from October 13, 2016 to April 2, 2017 at the Musée de la civilisation.

A long-time partner of the Musée de la civilisation, La Capitale is proud to once again partner up with the renowned museum to present this original and innovative exhibition.

Inspired by the essay written by Alberto Manguel, The Library at Night exhibition was designed and directed by Robert Lepage and his production company, Ex Machina. Thanks to the 360° video immersion technology, visitors can dive into a virtual exploration of the ten most fascinating libraries in the world. As a complement to this original work, rare and ancient books from the extraordinary Séminaire de Québec collection will be on display.

The Library at Night was a resounding success in 2015, when the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec presented the exhibition, in partnership with La Capitale, as part of the festivities marking the tenth anniversary of Montreal's Grande bibliothèque.

"La Capitale is proud to present, in Quebec City this time, The Library at Night exhibition. We have no doubt that all visitors will be captivated by Robert Lepage's work," said Jean St-Gelais, La Capitale's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

Guided by the values of mutual aid, solidarity and fairness on which it was founded, La Capitale participates actively in Quebec's cultural life by supporting the fundamental role played by major cultural institutions such as the Musée de la civilisation.
