Quebec public service employees have it good with La Capitale!

October 17, 2016 – The public service employees on Quebec's parliament hill will be feeling the love of La Capitale Insurance and Financial Group in an external event that will be held on Jacques-Parizeau Street, across from the Parc de la Francophonie, on October 17, 2016, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Back rubs, free hot beverages, health and wellness tips and prize draws are among the perks that La Capitale is offering on this public service employee appreciation day.

It's a way to say thanks to these workers, for whom La Capitale was founded. Back in 1940, Quebec public service members joined together to form the Mutuelle des employés civils, a fraternal benefit society to protect their families' financial health in the event of death. Over time, the Mutual became La Capitale, which now has over 265,000 mutualists made up of active and retired government employees.

This day also gives people an opportunity to share stories that will be considered when selecting nominees for the La Capitale recognition awards, which annually honours individuals in Quebec's public service. This contest pays tribute to those who make a difference in the community by improving the quality of life of their fellow citizens or colleagues in the four main public administration groups: ministries, public agencies or crown corporations, the public education sector, the health and social services network organization and the municipal sector.

In the event of rain, this event will be held on the following day.
