Prescription Drug, Medical and Paramedical Expense Insurance
This insurance covers prescription drugs, as well as medical and paramedical expenses, including treatments received from authorized healthcare professionals.
Certain expenses may be reimbursed under your group insurance contract:
- Hospitalization expenses
- Accommodation expenses
- Prescription drug expenses
- Fees charged by healthcare professionals
If it is retain to the contract, the second medical opinion service enables you to consult a general practitioner or medical specialist for a second opinion when suffering from an illness or an injury.
You must submit your claim for benefits within 12 months following the date on which the expenses were incurred and the services were rendered.
Brand Name Drug Coverage
If your contract contains a clause concerning substitution of a generic drug and your physician wants to prescribe a particular drug, you can fill the Request for Brand Name Drug Coverage Form (PDF - 2 pages).
