Three Quebec Investors to support the growth of R3D

Quebec City, 15 August 2019 – Management and information technology consulting firm R3D Consulting is pleased to announce that a consortium of three major Quebec investors, namely Investissement Québec (IQ), La Capitale Insurance and Financial Services and Quebecor (TSX: QBR.A, QBR.B) has gained capital shares in the Quebec company to ensure its development and accelerate its growth.

“The invaluable support provided by Investissement Québec, La Capitale and Quebecor gives us the means to match our ambitions. It also opens the door to new strategic alliances which will leverage the expertise of our professionals,” pointed out Mr. Claude Levasseur, the new President and Chief Executive Officer at R3D.

Claude Levasseur was previously the firm’s Executive Vice-President and replaces Marc-André Roy, a visionary and innovative entrepreneur with a long history of success stories who co-founded R3D in 1996. Mr. Roy remains a shareholder and will continue to serve as a member of the Board of the company which today has 500 professionals in Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, the United States, Mexico and France.

The arrival of new investors will enable R3D to accelerate its growth, notably through the development of a new customer base, the advancement of its digital development studios and the potential acquisition of other players in this highly competitive market.
