$100,000 to be awarded for the third edition of the ShineBEYOND prizes!

The La Capitale Foundation will support four projects and help shine a light on their cause

November 1, 2019 – The La Capitale Financial Group Foundation is launching the third edition of the ShineBEYOND prizes, an initiative that aims to finance three projects related to one of the Foundation’s causes: autism, intellectual disability and vulnerable seniors.

“The success of the ShineBEYOND prizes among the people and organizations that work in the causes supported by the La Capitale Foundation have inspired us to renew this initative for a third year. We’re pleased to announce that we will be attributing $100,000 during this edition of the ShineBEYOND prizes. We are inviting non-profit organizations to present a project related to one of our Foundation’s causes for a chance to earn one of three $25,000 prizes to help them make the project a reality and shine a light on their cause. With this initiative, we want to highlight the value of acceptance, support, respect and inclusion of these groups in our society,” said Jean St-Gelais, La Capitale's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

For a second year: A special prize of $25,000, up from $15,000 last year, will be awarded to an intergenerational project, i.e. one that involves more than one generation in a cause supported by the Foundation.

Organizations are invited to present their project related to autism, intellectual disability or vulnerable seniors by completing the application form available at www.lacapitale.com/shinebeyond, between November 1 and December 20, 2019. The selected projects will be announced in February 2020.

In line with La Capitale’s values of social commitment and responsibility and its people-first attitude, the company donated $1.8M to more than 200 organizations in Quebec and across Canada in 2018, through its La Capitale Foundation. The Foundation’s objective is to improve the quality of life for individuals, in particular those with an ASD or an intellectual disability as well as vulnerable seniors.
